Growing in Unity- Day 4

Happy Thanksgiving! Even though life is hard right now, we have much to be thankful for, and I am so thankful to the Growing in Unity Gal this week.

I stumbled upon Unity Stamp Company about 5 years ago. I was actually searching for some “snarky” sentiments and landed on their site. Of course I placed an order right away! Below is a picture of the first Itty Bitty set I bought from them. I like to stamp these on the back of my cards. These little sentiments make me laugh!

Today’s card was created using the Itty Bitty set “New Day Rooster.” (I know, it’s not a turkey…but he will have to do!) I kind of have an addiction to the Itty Bitty stamps. They are at such a great price point and there are soooo many to choose from. I saw this rooster and loved the sentiment- so I had to have it! Also, today is my first attempt to make a mini slimline card.

I love this encouraging sentiment! I feel like we could all use some positivity these days, right?

To start, I stamped the rooster image in Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him with Copic Markers. I went a little bright with the colors, but I like the end result.

For the background, I stamped the “Chicken Wire Background” stamp with Concord and 9th Dove ink and added some frayed ribbon.

It is a new day and I hope you are feeling good! Today would be a great day to do some shopping at Unity! Time to take advantage of their BIG sale. Be sure to leave a comment for a chance to win some Unity goodies!

Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. Such a great card using the itty bitty and the chicken wire background stamp. I need to add the chicken wire background stamp to my wishlist as they really look awesome together. Stay safe.

  2. The rooster is one of my favorite stamps! He’s so awesome and I love that it comes with the chicken wire. You did a beautiful job with the layers; it’s really pretty.
