Celebrate! A new release from Simon Says Stamp

It’s release day! This new collection from Simon Says Stamp is so fun! There is something for EVERYONE!

I got a chance to create with the “Taco ‘Bout It” stamp set. Such a cute set with adorable images and sassy sentiments. I created three projects with it.

Project #1: Margarita Card

I started by ink smooshing Squeezed Lemonade and Peeled Paint Distress Oxides onto watercolor paper. While that was drying, I stamped, colored, and die cut the margarita and lime images from the “Taco ‘Bout It” stamp set. I heat embossed with Wow Clear Sparkle embossing powder to look like the rim was dipped in salt. I stamped the sentiment and adhered everything to an A2 card base.

Project #2: Shaped Taco Card

I used the following products to create this card:

Taco ‘Bout It stamp set

Mamacita stamp and die set

Hero Arts Infinity Arches

Copic Markers

Project #3: Fiesta Gift Tag

I used the following products to create this tag:

Taco ‘Bout It stamp set

GinaK Stitched Tag die

Wow Clear Sparkle Embossing Powder

Copic Markers

You can check out the whole new release HERE. And be sure to tune into Simon Says Stamp YouTube channel this Friday (April 19th) for tons of inspiration!

Until next time,

Mary

Growing in Unity- Day 5

It has been such an honor and pleasure to be this weeks GIU gal. I hope my cards have inspired you to create with your Unity stamps.

Today I wanted to share a holiday project I created for some of my teacher friends where I work. I really fell in love with this sentiment and it inspired my gift idea. This sentiment can be found in the “Jesus and Germs” sentiment kit. I decided to make tags and tie them to packages of hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works. I’ve been going through sanitizer like crazy, so I thought it would be a cute and practical little gift! This sentiment seems so appropriate for everything currently going on in our world.

I wanted to create a card from this sentiment kit as well. I fell in love with this beautiful floral image that Tierra Jackson created. Of course, everything stamped crisp and clean because it was made out of red rubber.

For this card, I once again stamped the image and sentiment in Copic friendly ink. I colored the flowers and greenery in traditional holiday colors. I masked off the sentiment and splattered some watered down, white acrylic paint, just to give it a wintery feel. I love the red roses with the white spatter!

I found this sweet gift tag sentiment in the stamp set “Fresh Start.” I love the beautiful font and it’s perfectly sized for a gift tag. What a simple way to make your gifts even more special! For one of the tags, I paired it with a cute holly stamp that I received in one of my Unity grab bags. I colored the image with Copics and the heat embossed the berries with clear glitter embossing powder. I really love how this tag turned out! For the second tag, I decided to keep it super simple so I could make a bunch. It just took some simple stamping and a bit of die cutting to create this cute tag.

I hope my little tags have inspired you to create your own holiday tags. Please visit Unity Stamp Company to look at their gorgeous stamps. Fill your cart up! And don’t forget to comment here for a chance to win some Unity goodies.

And thank you to Unity for this wonderful opportunity! I have truly enjoyed sharing some of my projects. I hope you have a safe and healthy holiday season filled with lots of cardmaking.
