Here is my entry to the Newton’s Nook Inky Paws Challenge. This biweekly theme is a sketch challenge. For this card I used the Flip Flop Life stamp set. I had to fussy cut my flip flops because I don’t have the dies. That was a little challenging for me! I decided to add some Glossy Accents to the strap of the sandal and foam tape to the bottom to give some dimension.
I was at my friend Avra’s house on Thursday, and borrowed her Seashells Stencil to make some background paper. I used some distress oxide inks and I was really pleased with my color palette (Scattered Straw, Iced Spruce and Tattered Rose) It was so pretty, I hated to cut it!
My goal was to create the diamond shape with the placement of the flip flops… was I successful? Not sure, but I had fun creating this card.
Thanks for stopping by my new blog!
Aha! It still took me a minute to find where to comment! Congratulations on creating a beautiful blog! I just love this Newton’s Nook card – the colors are so pretty, and yes, you were very clever to create the diamond shape from the sketch with the placement of the flip flops! So cute!

So this is not my favorite card – but I wanted to use that pretty seashell background I created at your house. I do love the colors. Thanks for the encouragement. Still learning how to manage this blog!
